School Reform Initiatives Strand

The term School Reform is used to describe efforts of change in a school. Most of these changes are distinguished and defined among three levels of change occurring, sometimes simultaneously,  In public schools the three levels are renewal, reform, and restructuring.  The differentiation between the three can be important, particularly given the fact that almost every school at some point embarks on a change effort of some sort, and that most attempts to change are serious events in the life of schools.

CESA 5 professional development for the School Reform Initiatives strand includes:

  • Response to Intervention (RTI)
  • Responsive Education for All Children (REACh)
