Alternative Education Programs
|
The COMAN, SCAN, WCAS and JCAN Alternative Education Programs:
- Develop a working relationship between schools and county social services that is coordinated to enhance the education of severely involved emotional behavioral disabled students
- Provide schools and county social services an alternative learning environment for students and families who are experiencing aggressive, disruptive behaviors and instability in community, home and school
- Support our districts in its efforts to improve student learning, including behavior
The JCCS and WCCS Alternative Education Programs:
- Provide schools with an alternative learning environment for at-risk secondary level students
- Develops a staff relationship with students and parents which provides goal-setting opportunities in a supportive environment. These programs enable students to graduate with a traditional diploma, return to a traditional educational setting, or assist in developing goals to encourage completion via HSED, GED, GED2 options
- Supports the districts in its efforts to improve student learning, including behavior
