is a nonprofit organization that works to expand learning opportunities for all individuals, especially those with disabilities, through the research and development of technology-based educational resources and strategies.  They are a good resource for information about UDL (Universal Design for Learning) and NIMAS (National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard).

LD online is one of the most comprehensive sources for Learning Disabilities.  It has resources  and information for teachers, parents and students. You can sign up for their free monthly  online newsletter.

Project Guttenburg is one of the best sources of copyright free books that can be downloaded into talking word processing programs, text readers or converted into audio files.

Trainland Tripod is a wealth of information, links, downloads and resources for adults (parents and professionals) who work with students with autism.  They have PDF versions of communication boards, over 2700 links, and a strong parent perspective.

This lists the many companies that allow free (usually 30 day) full demos of their products so that you can try before you buy. The companies/products are listed by area (i.e., math support, special needs support, text to speech support, etc.)
