Title IV is one of the programs authorized by federal legislation (ESEA – Elementary and Secondary Education Act).  The federal government reauthorizes ESEA every five years and has numerous requisites for each of the titles.  Funding is authorized on an annual basis.  The CESA 5 Project Director meets with DPI every other month for Title IV updates so that they can update districts on compliance with Title IV requirements.  Title IV funds can be used for ATOD Network membership, purchase of curriculum, support for ATOD program coordination, support for Model Programs, etc.  We can also provide comprehensive needs assessment for Title IV.
