Vision: The Columbia County Community Supports Healthy Life Choices.
Mission: To reduce alcohol and other drug abuse by educating our youth and adults about leadership skills and healthy life choices through community collaboration.

Columbia County Coalition members are from school districts, law enforcement, UW-Extension, faith community, media, health care, tobacco coalition, human services, parents and youth all with in Columbia County. CESA (Cooperative Educational Service Agency) #5 is the fiscal agent for the coalition and employs staff to assist the efforts of the coalition.
They currently work with the school districts throughout Columbia County.
Funding is provided through grants from Columbia County Health and Human Services, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), and Federal Drug-Free Communities Support grant.
The two main programs are Youth Connects (teen leadership) and Community Connects (community education). The 40 Developmental Assets play a major role in our programming. The following are the top 4 assets we are currently addressing:

Caring School Climate - school provides a caring, encouraging environment.

Safety - young person feels safe at home, at school, and in the neighborhood.
- Restraint - young person believes it is important not to be sexually active or to use alcohol or other drugs.
- Youth as Resources - young people are given useful roles in the community.
