ITV (Interactive TV) Distance Learning Training

ITV Faciliator/Instructor Training: Mastering the Technology
Morning includes overview of Wisconsin distance learning networks, the Distance Learning (DL) Navigator and hands-on practice operating the cameras and other multimedia equipment in the ITV classrooms.


8:30 am - 400 pm
ITV Instructor Training: Teaching & Learning Strategies
AM: An overview of Wisconsin distance learning networks, the Distance Learning (DL) Navigator and hands-on practice operating the cameras and other multimedia equipment in the ITV classrooms.
PM:  A continuation from the morning session, the focus is on learning to promote interactivity among participants in multi-site ITV classes. Also, ITV teaching stategies, copyright considerations, and tips for adapting materials and fostering interaction, participation and feedback. Includes hands-on opportunities to practice using the technology and techniques and sharing experiences, tips, troubleshooting ides.

Introduction to CCBC

Join librarians from the Cooperative Children’s Book Center (CCBC) of the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on this tour through selected ALA award winners and notable books. 

Targeted audiences are teachers, school & public librarians, and interested community members.  There are two separate sessions (dates and times) for K-5 teachers, and  for Grade 6-12 teachers.  See Award Winning Books Flyers below:

 Teacher Talk 

Now’s your chance to collaborate with fellow teachers via video from your local distance learning classroom!

All instructors are invited to one hour collaboration sessions throughout the year. No grade level boundaries!  Whether you teach 4K or college classes, if you’re interested, you’re invited!

Subject specific information will be sent out individually to allow staff to register for sessions of interest and create meaningful agendas for each team of teachers. This is your time to share what you’ve found to be effective with others and take new ideas back to your classroom.   See Teacher Talk schedule below:
