Reform Initiatives
The Center for School Improvement, at CESA 5, is deeply committed to positive change and providing a top-quality education to all students. To those ends, the following reform initiatives are being provided to all districts in CESA 5.
High School Reform Committee
The HSRC discussion group meets four times each school year. At all meetings, the participants share ideas, concerns, and solutions on the topic of 21st century education. In addition, outside experts present on the topic for the day.

The Grading Reform Focus Group
Through the research from several "Grading Doctors", participants will engage in discussion on the current research related to grading practices.

Adlai E. Stevenson High School biannual onsite visit
A visit to Stevenson makes reform initiaitves real. Participants learn about and participate in a typical school day in one of the Nation's best reform high schools.

Establish a PLC for CESA 5 elementary principals, share best practice from their schools, learn about new initiatives in other schools, gain new knowledge and skills, create a professional network with their collegues from other districts

The Building Effective PLC Team Members and Leaders Workshop
The goal for the workshop will be to assist participants in becoming effective team leaders within their PLCs.
