Special Education Instructional Materials Center (SEIMC)

The Special Education Instructional Materials Center (SEIMC) is a contracted service which provides instructional materials to member school districts.  Special and Regular Education staff can check out from the SEIMC.

This collection includes software, curriculum materials, professional resources, videos and assistive technology, including augmentative communication devices, switches, switch toys, and specialized keyboards.

The SEIMC also has grant-funded materials that are available for checkout by all educators within the CESA 5 boundaries.  Grant funded materials are marked with a plus sign following the title.  A $6 handling fee is charged to non-SEIMC member districts for each checkout of grant-funded materials.  Non-member districts are billed twice per year for these checkouts.

The SEIMC collection can be searched via the Media Center Online Catalog.  Call numbers for all SEIMC materials begin with S and are followed by additional coding to distinguish the type of material.  More information on the content of each category can be found in SEIMC Materials and Coding.

Extensions will be granted if the material has not been reserved by another educator.
