Project TILT (Technology Integration Leadership Teams)
Title II-D Educational Technology ARRA Competitive Grant (2009-2011)
The Project TILT II consortium and CESA 5 will collaborate to provide a comprehensive professional development program to:
- increase student academic achievement in ITLS skills and content curriculum through implementation of the "Using Technology with Classroom Instruction that Works" model;
- provide opportunities for teachers and library media specialists to develop, implement, and assess technology-rich learning activities
- foster technology integration leadership teams, indistrict training and support, and professional collaboration within and between consortium districts.

The Project TILT II grant is a technology integration professional development grant with participation from twenty-six CESA 5 districts and multiple private schools. Consortium districts have selected a Project TILT II team of teachers, library media specialists, and building administrators including interested teachers from private schools. One member from each team has been selected to be the Project TILT II coach to support the team and provide additional professional development during the year.
Teacher-participants are expected to:
- actively participate in one of the August 2010 training sessions
- implement and assess at least one classroom unit per semester integrating technology into the Using Technology with Classroom Instruction that Works framework
- turn in lesson plans, student assessment data, teacher reflection for each unit
- meet monthly indistrict with district coach and other team members
- actively participate in cross-district discussion groups with other teachers implementing the same instructional strategies
- complete surveys and data collection as required for grant evaluation
Returning Project TILT I Teacher-participants are expected to:
- implement and assess at least one classroom unit per semester integrating technology into the Using Technology with Classroom Instruction that Works framework

- meet monthly indistrict with district coach and other team members
- complete surveys and data collection as required for grant evaluation
- Optional) actively participate in cross-district discussion groups with other teachers implementing the same instructional strategies (October 2010-May 2011)
District coaches are expected to:
- actively participate in one of the August 2010 training sessions
- attend three additional Coaches Meetings
- facilitate monthly indistrict meetings with team members
- organize and co-facilitate a cross-district online learning community (October 2010 – May 2011)
- create and share training materials and additional Professional Development resources
- facilitate additional Professional Development trainings within the school or district
- provide support to team members on an as needed basis
- assist with production of a dissemination video highlighting grant implementation activities
Library Media Specialists and Building Administrators are expected to provide additional support to the Project TILT II team throughout the school year.
