Statewide Title I Network

The Title I Network is a collaborative effort with the Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESAs) that provides increased technical assistance and professional development for districts and schools with Title I programs. With financial support from the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), each CESA provides free/reduced cost Title I services for all school districts in their CESA in the following five areas:
Title I Application Consultation with Title I coordinators regarding Title I law, programming, reporting requirements, and monitoring.
Title I Coordinator Leadership Information and resources for Title I coordinators through one-on-one technical assistance, at least two regional meetings, and a Title I coordinator orientation.
Districts/Schools ID’d for Improvement Assistance to Title I districts and schools identified for improvement including identifying and implementing improvement strategies and sanctions as required under No Child Left Behind.
Professional Development Reduced cost to attend to multiple professional development opportunities based on regional Title I needs that have been identified by districts in each CESA.
Resources and Collaboration Information and resources regarding local and statewide initiatives and agencies that can provide Title I related support.

Tools for your Classrooms! Reading A-Z, a popular online resource, provides guided reading materials for teachers to print and use in their classrooms. Members receive subscriptions for 5 people per district. Email kreklowt@cesa5.org to register.
Professional Development Free attendance to Title I workshops that provide updates, popular resources, and networking opportunities. Book studies are often included as activities, as well as guest speakers who share best practices in the field.
In addition, each member district will receive one membership to a state professional organization of choice. (WSRA, WCTM, WT1 Assoc)
On-site Support CESA 5 curriculum specialists are available to meet with member schools to provide individualized services related to Title I programming, including focused in-services, admin meetings, or other initiatives pertinent to your district.
Grant Opportunities Current opportunities exist in adolescent literacy, math and science. Enrich your curriculum and your teachers’ expertise as they explore new, innovative ways to improve student learning.
Preferential Pricing for CESA 5 Workshops Consortium schools pay less to attend most workshops offered through the Center for School Improvement at CESA 5.
