Administration

The chief executive officer of CESA 5 is Agency Administrator Don Stevens. The Agency Administrator leads the day to day operation of CESA 5.

The agency is governed by the eleven person Board of Control elected at an annual convention of all 35 member districts. That Board of Control determines all policies of the agency and serves as the fiscal and program evaluation oversight of the organization.

The agency is also advised by the Professional Advisory Committee or PAC. The PAC is the 35 superintendents in the local school districts within CESA 5. The Board of Control and Administration look to the PAC for the determination of contiinued and new CESA services.

The Professional Advisory Committee meets eight times per year from September through May.

Business Services

In Business Services, we handle all of the financial aspects related to Agency operation.  In addition to doing the daily accounting and payroll transactions, we work with all matter related to personnel, we create and track all school contracts, we oversee the Agency insurance packages, we manage the fleet of vehicles owned by the Agency, and all other aspects common to the overall business function.

In most cases, the Business Services Department provides an internal services type function.  However, if Districts are in need of help with budget development or other specific functions, arrangements can and have been made through the Business Services Department Director.
