| CESA 5 Information & Technology Plan, 2008-2011 |
CESA 5's Information and Technology Plan (2008-2011) focuses on the following goals and objectives.
Educator Proficiency
Goal 1: CESA 5 will assist teachers and districts to align the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for Information and Technology Literacy (ITLS) to K-12 curricular areas, establish grade-level benchmarks and appropriate assessments.
Obj. 1.1: CESA 5 consultants will assist teachers and districts to align the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for Information and Technology Literacy (ITLS) to K-12 curricular areas and to establish grade-level benchmarks with appropriate assessments.
Obj. 1.2: CESA 5 will identify examples of best practices for technology integration and assessment for dissemination and model best practices for technology integration and assessment.
Effective Teaching and Learning Practices
Goal 2: Students in CESA 5 school districts will increase application of technology-based tools and accommodations.
Obi. 2.1: CESA 5 students will increase use of technology based applications in the content area.
Obj. 2.2: Students will demonstrate proficiency on technologies aligned to their individualized learning strengths and needs.
Access to Information Resources and Learning Tools
Goal 3: CESA 5 will expand access to digital resources and learning opportunities for staff, school districts, and teachers.
Obj. 3.1: The CESA 5 web site will be regularly reviewed to promote consistency and updated information.
Obj. 3.2: CESA 5 will implement a new web-based system for professional development registration and management.
Obj. 3.3: CESA 5 will increase online learning opportunities for educators.
Obj. 3.4: CESA 5 will expand the use of our computer network and make phone access more readily available.
Support Systems and Leadership
Goal 4: CESA 5 will model effective professional development using technology tools, offering a variety of staff development options that include state and national conferences, online courses, graduate level courses, one-on-one instruction, and system-level training opportunities.
Obj. 4.1: CESA 5 will provide technological tools to support PI-34 licensure—technology coordinator, administrator, teacher, pupil services.
Obj. 4.2: CESA 5 will provide instructional support and best practice methods for using technology tools in professional development for educators and parents.
